Today I got to go to Jamestown with three grad students to get marine invertebrates from the ocean and bring them back to the lab. Two of them went SCUBA diving just off shore to get them, and when they came back up, we got to look through all the species they found together. They even brought up a sea star just for me to look at :) The purple urchins will be used for my research project, and it was super cool to be part of the process of sourcing the urchins and transporting them to the lab!
